Qualthog
The Qualthog is the traditional first visitor of New Years. The tallness and darkness factor of the visitor determines your luck for the rest of the year, taller and darker means luckier.
The internets, infinitely wise and wide, have no mention of this. Google returns no hits, even Live Search is at a loss. It’s all up to me, I suppose. I’m heading to the library (yes, a physical building with books and paper and stuff inside) to confirm or deny the existence of a Qualthog.
…and no, this has nothing to do with the Family Guy.
